Every now and then, a shirt drops that makes you stop, look, and properly take it in. Not for its flash or fanfare, but for the detail—for the story it tells. Step up Dynamo Dresden and Jako, who have just unveiled a home shirt that throws out the template rulebook and dives deep into the heart of Saxon heritage.
The new Dynamo Dresden home shirt for 25/26 is one you have to look close at to full appreciate. From afar, it could be a Wolves kit. But up close, there's an intricate story to tell. A project born in collaboration with the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, the design fuses football with fine art, sport with centuries-old tradition. Founded in 1710 by August the Strong (great name BTW), Meissen is one of Germany’s oldest and most prestigious luxury brands, best known for its iconic blue-and-white porcelain—affectionately dubbed “white gold.” And now, the historic onion pattern, first introduced in 1739 and inspired by East Asian artistry, finds new expression on fabric.
Look closely at the yellow base and you’ll see it: the porcelain pattern subtly embossed into the shirt’s surface, adding texture and storytelling in equal measure. It’s a detail that doesn’t scream—it whispers. Quiet confidence. Timeless class.
And then there’s the crest. No printed shortcuts this time—Dynamo’s badge returns in its embroidered glory, elevating the shirt’s overall finish. Around the back, the city crest of Dresden sits proudly on the neck, while inside the collar, that familiar rallying cry remains: “LOVE DYNAMO – HATE RACISM.” A reminder that the club’s values of openness and diversity run just as deep as its roots.
In a world of fast drops and recycled graphics, this one stands apart. It’s not just a shirt—it’s a statement piece. A celebration of craftsmanship, of collaboration, and of what happens when football clubs dare to draw from the culture around them.
The Dynamo Dresden 25/26 home shirt is available now from the club's online store.
