Mizuno Bring A Classic Silhouette To the Streets With Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo Drop

Mizuno are elevating their Paris fashion week festivities with an iconic new launch, blending their two signature silhouettes together for the ‘Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo’. What better way to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the classic Morelia silo than by taking it straight from the pitch and onto the streets.

Few names in sport carry the weight of heritage quite like Mizuno, a brand that has long walked the line between performance and culture. When it comes to football, one chapter towers above the rest – the birth of the iconic Morelia silo. First introduced in 1985, the Morelia became a symbol of craftmanship and understated brilliance, laced up by some greats of the game and quietly embedded itself into football’s fabric.

Fast forward to Paris Fashion Week 2025 and Mizuno is rewriting the script. Celebrating 40 years of the Morelia, they’ve launched the brand-new Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo – a combination that merges timeless football DNA with contemporary streetwear design. The result? A sneaker that sits where football and culture meet, blending the Morelia’s signature K-leather inspired aesthetic with Mizuno’s futuristic Infinity Wave silhouette. Two worlds united. With the grace of ’85 and the tech of the modern era, this launch is designed for those who live and breathe football and fashion.

The silo uses a triple black colourway, engulfing the entirety of the design in a stealth suit to look as sleek as possible. Crafted with wear-resistant synthetic leather and equipped with Mizuno's exclusive Wave Prophecy bottom technology and Infinity Wave Hollow structure board. High function and fashion all at once. 

To launch the new drop, Mizuno headed to the city of São Paulo – the home of street football. The campaign ‘The Game of Quebrada’ was captured by Brazilian creatives who understand the culture, as a attribute to the neighbourhoods where the beautiful game stays pure. Proper Joga Bonito. The story honours football identity whilst the Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo becomes more than a shoe, rather a symbol of how football shapes the streets, style and soul.
